Welcome!

Cedar Hills has a crystal clear vision for the future. As a church we are deeply committed to living out this vision in North Idaho and beyond. We’re not interested in playing church, collecting half-hearted followers of Jesus, or standing on the sidelines of God’s work in the world.

We want more!

Our vision describes in detail the kind of people we believe God wants us to become.

As we pursue this vision with all our hearts, and as we become the people God wants us to be, we believe that the church of Jesus Christ will become an unstoppable force (Matthew 16:18) that transforms North Idaho. Our vision identifies five key expressions of community.

We will become a:

  • CREATION

The Bible tell us in Romans 1:25 (NLT), "They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen."

God created us, and He is the only one who can satisfy our hearts. Our problem is that instead of looking to God, we've turned to other things to make us happy.

  • SIN

The Bible also tell us in Romans 3:23 (NLT), "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard."

We have all sinned by turning away from God and replacing Him with things we believed would satisfy our hearts.

  • DEATH

The Bible goes on to tell us in Romans 6:23 (NLT), "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."

The penalty for sin is spiritual death. Everyone dies physically. But after our body dies, we don't cease to exist. Our soul will spend eternity with God in heaven or without God in hell. The cost for rejecting God in this life is to be judged by Him in the next. However, God loves us and offers to forgive all of our sin.

  • SALVATION

The Bible then tells us in Romans 5:8 (NLT), "But God has showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

God loves us, so He sent His Son, Jesus, to die in our place. When Jesus was crucified, God placed all of our sin on His Son. Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin, so we could be forgiven and receive eternal life. We know this because three days after He died, He rose from the grave!

  • RECEIVE HIM

The Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 (NLT), “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”

  • ARE YOU READY?

I am ready to receive Him

Accept God’s gift of salvation.

Are you ready to accept God’s gift of salvation? Do you realize that only God is awesome enough to satisfy your heart? Are you ready to turn from doing life your way, accept God’s forgiveness and receive His free gift of eternal life? If so, you can receive God’s gift right now with the following prayer…

“Father, I acknowledge that You created me and that only You can satisfy my heart. It’s in You, my Creator, that I find my purpose. But I have sinned against You by turning my back on You and trying to replace You with other things. This has left my heart hard and empty and deserving of eternal death. But I have come to learn that You love me and I now believe that You sent Your Son, Jesus to die on the Cross for my sin and that He rose from the dead. I receive Your forgiveness and gift of eternal life. I place my life in Your hands and choose to be a follower of Jesus. Amen.”

The moment you finished saying this prayer, this is what just took place in your heart…

And you did not receive the “spirit of fear,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” accepting you into the family of God. And you will never be orphaned, So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father." For  his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children." (Romans 8:15-16 NLT)

I have decided to follow Jesus.
