JUST TALKING TO GOD

What is prayer? Prayer is simply just talking to God. I think that many people pray more than they realize, but because we have complicated prayer and turned it into a formal religious endeavor, we step back from prayer. God just wants us to talk to Him. Prayer is the communication process between us and the Lord.

When we follow Jesus, we have a relationship with a living God. This relationship is built on communication. We need to talk to God (pray) and let Him respond.

Isaiah 65:24 I will answer them before they even call to Me. While they are still talking to Me about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

1 John 5:14-15 And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

The Bible tells us to pray for one another. 

"Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” James 5:16 NLT
