Got something to say and a heart to see students grow? Speaking Team Members bring 15–20 minutes of meaningful, biblical teaching to the table, connecting with middle and high schoolers in ways that are real, honest, and full of life. You’ll work with the Student Life Director to align your message with the night’s theme and purpose. Teaching content is submitted in advance and should hit that sweet spot between scriptural truth and cultural relevance.

Help set the tone from the moment students arrive. Greet Squad members are mostly student leaders who make new students feel seen, known, and welcomed. You’ll guide them through check-in, introduce them to their grade group, and stay connected throughout the night. Check-In Volunteers keep things running smooth—managing iPads, welcoming students, collecting new student forms, and making sure allergy and contact info is locked in. You’ll help new students feel at ease, then follow up with a handwritten card to show they’re remembered. It’s a small window with a big impact, because what you pour out, God pours in.

The Band Lead mentors student musicians, plans practices, selects songs, and shapes worship experiences that align with the teaching themes. Love being behind the scenes but right in the action? The AVL Team helps run the sound, lights, and visuals that bring Student Life gatherings to life. From ProPresenter to lighting cues to supporting band practice, you’ll help create the kind of atmosphere where students can focus, worship, and connect. This role is all about details, teamwork, and pouring your skills into something that makes a difference.

If you’ve got a steady presence and an eye for what’s going on, this is your space to lead with care. Safety Team Members help create a secure and welcoming environment at Student Life by keeping an eye on both indoor and outdoor areas. You’ll be there to de-escalate when needed, stay ahead of potential issues, and be a calm, trusted presence for students navigating a big night.

This one’s for the detail-lovers who also love a good snack run. As the Snack Shack Team Lead, you’ll keep the fun (and sugar) flowing by managing the Student Life snack stand—stocking shelves, tracking inventory, training volunteers, and keeping things running smooth. You’ll also help support the rhythm of Student Life by coordinating teams like Greet Squad, Check-In, and Safety. Organized? Relational? Ready to pour into something that feeds connection (literally)? This one's yours. 5:30PM-7:00PM | Sunday nights

If snacks are your love language, this is your moment. Snack Shack Volunteers help bring the fun by setting up, selling, and tearing down during Student Life nights. You’ll keep things moving, serve up the goods with a smile, and help make the hangout vibe feel warm and welcoming. This is a student-led space where connection happens over candy, chips, and conversation.

Hospitality sets the tone, and you’ll be the one leading the charge. The Hospitality Team Lead brings vision, structure, and energy to the teams that shape the Student Life experience: Greet Squad, Safety, and Snack Shack. You’ll oversee schedules, champion values, and keep things running smooth and connected. This role partners closely with the Student Life Director and can flex with your availability, especially as you build and delegate to a solid team.

You don’t need to lead the whole lesson, you just need to show up, lean in, and help students feel seen. Student Life Leaders are the backbone of relational ministry at Cedar Hills, serving alongside Small Group Leaders to create safe, meaningful spaces where students can talk, laugh, process life, and grow in faith. You’ll help with small group flow, engage students one-on-one, and bring your presence to the table in a way that matters.

You’ve got an eye for content and a heart for students. The Social Media Team Lead helps tell the story of Student Life, capturing moments, creating posts, and keeping the digital vibe aligned with what’s happening on the ground. You'll collaborate with the Student Life Director, lead a team of content creators, and help make sure what students experience in person shows up online, too. Bonus: this role has room for mentoring and discipleship as you build into others.

If bringing the fun is your spiritual gift, this one’s for you. The Games Lead creates the energy at Student Life, planning and leading inclusive, age-appropriate games that get everyone involved. You’ll coordinate a team of student and adult volunteers, prep the game plan ahead of time, and make sure everything runs with clarity, safety, and Cedar Hills-style fun. It's all about connection, momentum, and helping students feel like they belong the minute they show up. Small Group Leaders are the heart of Student Life, showing up consistently, listening deeply, and guiding students toward Jesus. You’ll lead a weekly group of middle or high school students, help them wrestle with faith and life, and be a steady voice of encouragement. You'll connect with parents when needed, attend monthly team nights, and walk closely with the Student Life Director as we build the next generation.

Full Sunday morning, 1 - 3 times per month. Tuesday evening rehearsal, on the week you serve. During gatherings, our musicians provide musical layers as we lead our church in musical worship experiences. They come alongside our vocalists to ensure attendees are led well into encounters with Jesus. Full Sunday morning, 1-3 times per month. The ProPresenter Team is a passionate team of presentation operators as they

engage people with visual experiences. This team collaborates with various

serving teams for text and media layer display. They have a great pulse on creative visual

layouts and understands how they can impact a moment.  They help operate and display any visual content on screens from song lyrics and scripture to videos and marketing assets.  There will be ongoing training opportunities throughout the year. Full Sunday morning, 1-3 times per month. Do you love to help others experience the act of worshipping through the visual experience? The LIVE Camera Operator uses various camera systems for live display, video streaming, and capture. We get to serve both in-person participants as well as our Online community. We get to everything that is displayed from camera feeds. This role requires adaptability, agility, the ability to learn, listening to verbal cues, and collaboration to find quick solutions.

Full Sunday morning, 1-3 times per month. The Lighting Team is a passionate team of Lighting Operators and designers as they engage people with visual experiences. Not only do they operate lighting fixtures more importantly they provide well illuminated moments and gathering elements. Operators will understand how lighting can boost the impact of a visual story. There will be ongoing training opportunities, discovering new ways to reach people, and innovation in the way lighting supports gathering environments. Full Sunday morning, 1-3 times per month. The Audio Team is a passionate group of Audio Operators as they engage people with well mixed/leveled audio experiences during the gatherings. Once trained audio operators ensure all the sounds in our gathering facilitate engagement of gathering attendees from the band to speakers and media. They have a great pulse on effective audio practices and readily seek to improve mediocre systems and audio imaging. Ongoing training opportunities will be provided throughout the year. They come alongside our RED vocalist and musicians to ensure attendees are led well into encounters with Jesus. In addition to singing, they model what expression looks like in our gatherings, offer supportive suggestions to our RED vocalist and Music Director, and look for ways to serve our church with their talents and giftings. This role is on the front lines, going first to participate and lead our gathering in transformational musical worship experiences.
