At Cedar Hills, we believe parenting was never meant to be done alone. If you are ready to dedicate your child and commit to raising them in a Christ-following community, our Child Dedication gathering is your next step. This is more than a ceremony—it’s a moment to speak life, blessing, and purpose over your child alongside your church family that is committed to walking with you.
Child Dedication takes place during our Sunday Gatherings and is a joyful, hope-filled moment that reflects your desire to raise your child in the love and truth of Jesus. We'll pray over your child and family, and we’ll celebrate together. You’ll also receive a keepsake gift to mark the occasion.

Q: What is child dedication?
A: It’s a public declaration that you intend to raise your child in a Christ-following home and are inviting your community to support and pray with you.
Q: Is child dedication the same as baptism?
A: No. Child dedication is not a baptism; it is a commitment by the parents and church family. Baptism is a personal decision your child can make later in life.
Q: What ages can be dedicated?
A: Infants through elementary-age children can be dedicated.
Q: Is there a class or preparation beforehand?
A: Yes, a short orientation will be sent to registered families to help prepare you for what to expect.
Q: Can friends or extended family attend?
A: Absolutely! We encourage family and friends to attend and celebrate this special moment with you.
Q: What should my child wear?
A: There’s no dress code. Come as you are, or dress your child in something meaningful to you.
